Meeting recap: NIRO Annual Meeting 2023
On September 21st, the annual NIRO meeting was held at Quality Airport Hotel Gardermoen, attracting over 80 participants.
Two keynote speakers were invited: Anthony Chalmers from the University of Glasgow shared an inspiring talk on translational radiation research in glioblastoma, while Ane Appelt from the University of Leeds presented innovative approaches to outcome prediction models in radiotherapy. The event also featured presentations from invited speakers, as well as oral presentations based on abstracts, flash poster presentations, a poster session, and valuable networking opportunities. The attendees gained insights into ongoing research in radiation physics, clinical studies, data science, and radiation biology – showcasing the diverse research within the field of radiation therapy that is going on in our region. Altogether, this created a dynamic and interactive atmosphere with good opportunities for networking and collaboration.
